A New Star Wars Droid

Decades later, helmed by visionary director J.J. Abrams, a new astromech droid stepped in to take the spot of everyone’s favourite comedic relief with a tin heart of gold. This droid was none other than BB-8 - a dome-shaped droid with a strong personality.

BB-8 starts off as a companion to the Resistance pilot Poe Dameron (played by Oscar Isaac), but the two quickly become separated after a crash on the desolate planet of Jakku.

Meeting Rey (Daisy Ridley), this little white-and-orange droid goes on to become a valuable asset to the cause, helping to battle against the First Order.
