FIFA 12 (Special Edition)

Brilliant game, came at the best price around! The improvement of this game before it's predecessor is vast, as it's a lot more realistic. Only problem is, it's not as much of a pick up and play game as it used to be as playing on higher difficulties has significantly toughened since previous titles. The Gold packs you receive are also a great bonus to pre-ordering as it allows you the opportunity to start a great team in Ultimate team.

Fifa 12

Everyone was expecting the same game, another year. But this year its different. You can see as soon as you kick off that the games visuals have been improved. The major improvement here is the tactical defending. No more can you keep your finger on the A button hoping your defenders will close down the other teams attackers. This in my view makes the game better and at the same time harder to master. Make sure you practice before you go online but my view is that it helps the flow and skill. So all in all its a great improvement on last years game and worth every penny. Its not just an update its an whole new game.

Very good

Fifa 12 is very good. If your a fan of previous titles, then you will like this, but most likely also find it more challenging. The defending is tricky to get used at first, but more realistic. The Ultimate Team mode is great fun and Manager Mode have been given a new lease of life with a Youth Academy section. The Special Edition packs are also good time savers at first, so its worth it if you play that mode. All in all, very good indeed!

3 Stars

A great addition to the FIFA range - new camera angles and gameplay makes it look and feel even more real. The new defending system completely throws you off guard, and at first defending is like trying to write with your wrong hand. Even once you get used to it, it feels too easy for the opposition to score goals. On the other hand this also means that it's easier for you to score goals. A good game, but too many times I'm left feeling annoyed by scrappy goals and poor goalkeeping.

4 Stars for the wrong reasons.

Unfortunately this game is not at all brilliant, although in scattered places it is exceptional. Online is a struggle due to the tactical defending, which in my opinion is very poor and frustratingly horrible. Along with the new physical side to it as each player will hit the floor quicker than Ronaldo when blown in the ear. The referee is always in the way, and free kicks have been ruined. You slide tackle, get the ball from the side, ball goes opposite direction, its a foul. You get full on blocked form a player off the ball, nothing. Consistency ahs gone out the window. On the other hand though, for those who don't like this tactical defending there is legacy defending which is basically FIFA11, this can only be used offline or against friends online. CLUBS has been vastly improved thanks to the AI's intelligence, so that now you can play as your virtual pro without someone having to be ANY. Also there is a new feature allowing the user to change the settings, which can be fun to begin with, until you realise that winning 32-0 in a four min half each way against Legendary opponents is quite boring. But you can change it to be a very close match if you want. On the whole the new features are poor and quite frankly frustrating, but UT and CLUBS are brilliant and very enjoyable.

Very impressed.

A massive improvement from the previous FIFA 11 edition. EA have really put more thought in to this year's release. Like dramatic improvements from career mode, such as a youth academy and scouting, to more realistic physics in the game. As we all know the more life-like a game is the more difficult it is at first. I found the defending very hard at the beginning but as I gelled in to the codes and conventions of the game I found it very enjoyable and less frustrating as i went on. The gameplay gives you more a feel that you are playing a BPL game rather than a typical xbox game, making it more satisfying when you do score that 35 yard goal. I recommend this game to any football fan and having played the latest PES demo I think it's a no brainer to go out and buy FIFA 12 over it's competitor.

Sports Game + RPG Influence = BEST FIFA SO FAR

I haven't played the FIFA series since FIFA 10 and I can see how far they have advanced the game. The new EXP feature is great for all players as it gives a new aspect to the game. The way the game moves and plays is more realistic than ever. Overall, it is a must have for all football fans and even non football gamers.
